Jennie
Bernard’s association with the Hudson River School of Music dates
from 1996, when her eldest daughter first attended the Nursery School. Both
of her daughters went to the Nursery School and continue to study violin at
the Afternoon Music School. She served on the school’s board for five
years, from 1998 until 2003, when she started working as the assistant teacher
at the Nursery School. For a number of years she worked for such publishers
as Doubleday, Macmillan, and Stewart, Tabori and Chang as an editor of illustrated
books on subjects ranging from architecture and design to gardening. She continues
to work as a freelance editor. She lives in Hastings-on–Hudson, New York,
with her husband, two daughters and dog.

Nancy Dexter graduated from Carnegie-Mellon
University with a BFA in music and a BFA in Music Education. She has a certificate
from the School for Strings in Manhattan for Suzuki Pedagogy and is a teacher
trainer for the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Nancy has been the Director
of HRSM for the last 24 years as well as a teacher in the Nursery School program
and the afternoon violin school.

Susan Harris loves to use movement games
as vehicles for teaching musical skills. She has been teaching Dalcroze Eurhythmics
for almost 30 years. Long ago, she earned a BA in Studio Arts from the University
of Rochester and then went on to study piano at The Manhattan School of Music.
By 1976, the year she gave her graduation recital, Ms. Harris had started to
study Eurhythmics in NYC. While continuing to train and teach, Ms. Harris earned
a Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College as well as a Dalcroze
Certificate and License. Susan Harris has taught in public and private schools
in Manhattan and Westchester for many years. She has been on the faculty of
the Hudson River School of Music since 1993, teaching Eurhythmics in the nursery
program as well as the Westchester Suzuki Institute.

Toni Natarelli has been teaching at HRSM
for 11 years. She is a teacher in the Nursery School as well as the afternoon
Art & Drama and Art & Music programs. Toni was trained and is certified
in the Theory and Practice of the Montessori Method of Education ages birth
to 6 years old and has been teaching Nursery School for 18 years.

Amy Rosen is as string teacher in the Mamaroneck,
NY Public Schools and is the Assistant Director of the Hudson River School of
Music. In Mamaroneck, Ms. Rosen conducts two elementary orchestras and teaches
over 200 students. At HRSM, she is the Director of the Westchester Suzuki Institute,
is in charge of the Quartet Program and teaches violin. Ms. Rosen is a certified
SAA Teacher Trainer and has been a clinician at many Suzuki workshops. She is
active in the Westchester County School Music Association as an Adjudicator
and Orchestra Chairperson. Ms. Rosen received a BA from Carnegie-Mellon University
and a M.Mus. in Performance from Manhattan School of Music. Her Suzuki Teaching
Certificate was awarded from The School for Strings. Ms. Rosen has recently
had a book of violin etudes published called “My First Wohlfahrt”
and has been a string editor for Carl Fischer. Her articles discussing the use
of the Suzuki Method in publics schools have been published in many professional
journals. As a violinist, Ms. Rosen is active in local orchestras.
